Getting started

Talk it through and see a plan.

  1. 1

    Let’s Talk

Every experience begins with a personal consultation. We’ll discuss the occasion, date, location, guest count, menu interests, dietary needs, preferred service style, and overall vision.

  2. 2

    Receive Your Customized Proposal

Following the consultation, Chef Bear will prepare a customized proposal outlining the culinary experience, preliminary menu, professional service fee, and any anticipated staffing, travel, rental, or other event-related needs.

Securing your date

Make it official.

  1. 3

    Reserve Your Date

For events booked more than 30 days in advance, a signed service agreement and 50% reservation-and-planning retainer are required to secure the date. Events booked within 30 days require the signed agreement and full professional service fee.

  2. 4

    Finalize the Experience

The menu, guest count, dietary information, service details, and other event requirements are finalized before the event. Unless otherwise stated in the agreement, the remaining service-fee balance is due 14 days before the event.

What things cost

Know what is included and what is separate.

  1. 5

    Grocery Purchasing

Groceries are separate from Chef Bear’s professional service fee. The client purchases groceries directly using the client’s payment method. Chef Bear may prepare the shopping list, build an online grocery order, arrange delivery, shop, or pick up the order, depending on the experience.

  2. 6

    Additional Event Costs

Staffing, rentals, travel, lodging, and other approved event expenses are identified separately and must be funded before Chef Bear Cooking makes those commitments.

  3. 7

    Taxes and Gratuity

The client pays any taxes and fees charged directly by grocery retailers. If taxes are legally required on any Chef Bear Cooking charges, they will be clearly itemized in the proposal or invoice. Gratuity is not included or required and remains entirely at the client’s discretion.

The evening

Then the fun part.

  1. 8

    Enjoy the Experience

Once the planning is complete, Chef Bear and the Chef Bear Cooking team bring the agreed culinary experience to life.

Good To Know

The detailed cancellation, rescheduling, overtime, guest-count, menu-change, and other contractual terms are kept in each client’s service agreement rather than listed in full here.
